Friedrich Niggemann is a lawyer at the French and German Bars. He has extensive experience of international arbitration, especially in industrial disputes, and as an arbitrator in defense of parties to arbitration proceedings. He has assisted international investors – in particular German and Austrian investors - in their activities in France for more than twenty years and is in charge of the firm’s relations with those countries (“German Desk”).
A lawyer at the Paris Bar since then, Friedrich started his career in France with ASA Avocats Associés. Following a spell with Bignon & Lebray, he was a partner of Simmons & Simmons for 10 years. He joined Alerion as a legal counsel in early 2012.
In addition to his qualifications as a French and German lawyer, he holds a doctorate from the University of Cologne and has written more than 70 articles on law in German, French and English.
Friedrich is a member of the IBA, the Association Française de l’Arbitrage (French Arbitration Association), the DIS and the Association Suisse d’Arbitrage (Swiss Arbitration Association).
