Alerion promotes Philippe Balaÿ and Julien Lebel as Counsels

Philippe Balaÿ (Corporate) and Julien Lebel (Taw Law) have been promoted as Counsels at Alerion.

Philippe Balaÿ is a member of the Corporate / Mergers & Acquisitions / Private Equity department of the firm which now counts 4 Partners, 2 Counsels and 10 Associates. He thus assists both managers, investment funds, as well as midcaps, family groups and family office.

Philippe holds a Master’s degree in Business Law (Jean Moulin University – Lyon III) and is a graduate of the EM Lyon Business School. He first worked at the law firm of Bignon Lebray, before continuing his career at the law firm of Joffe & Associés for six years. He joined Alerion in 2017 and has been a lawyer admitted to the Paris Bar since 2010.

Philippe teaches corporate law and mergers and acquisitions in the Master 2 Mergers and Acquisitions program at Paris Saclay.

Julien Lebel is a member of the firm’s Tax law department, which now includes 3 Partners, 3 Counsels and 5 Associates. He is involved in all areas of taxation of companies and their managers. He assists companies and groups with restructuring projects and advises clients on their professional and wealth investments. He also provides assistance during tax audits or litigation.

He has also developed a practice in advising athletes and professional sports clubs.

Julien holds a Master’s degree in the management of company tax affairs from ESC Lille (Skema), he joined Alerion in 2008.

With these two new promotions, Alerion now counts 7 Counsels.
